Last week's poll answers came as a great surprise to me. Seriously, I thought you girls would have more shoes than that! Wow.
0-4 pairs - 26%
5-7 pairs - 28%
8-12 pairs - 28%
13-16 pairs - 9%
17-20 pairs - 0%
21 or more pairs - 9%
No one has 17-20 pairs of shoes? Weird.
And I have a confession. After I posted last week's poll, I found another pair of shoes that I hadn't counted. Fourteen pairs of shoes. I still can't figure out how anyone could get by with only 4 pairs of shoes. Really.
So for this week's poll question. Coffee, mocha, hot chocolate, or tea. What is your favorite winter drink?

Given a choice, I would choose a mocha. Iced or hot. It doesn't matter.
Tea just isn't my kind of thing. However, there are a few kinds I actually do prefer over others. My Mom introduced me to Organic Throat Coat tea a few months ago when I was sick. I loved it. That's the only kind I want to drink now. I know it may have a strange name (which made me somewhat hesitant to even try it!), but I"m glad I didn't let the name judge the tea. It's very soothing when you're sick, but it's just as good even if you aren't sick.
Coffee smells wonderfully delicious, but at a young age, I was disappointed to discover that it doesn't taste quite like it smells. I was the girl who poured a small amount of coffee into a glass of milk and loaded it with sugar.
And I've never like hot chocolate. I guess it's too just sweet for me.
One day I discovered "my" perfect kind of drink. I dumped a package of hot chocolate mix into a mug, poured about a 1 c. of coffee on top and added a few tablespoons of milk. Voila!
About a year later, I was introduced to Starbucks and Caribou Coffee and their wonderful mochas. I knew I had finally found what I had been searching for all these years. There really was a hot winter drink out there that I could enjoy. To my delight, I also found that they sold these "mochas" iced...so I could enjoy them in the summer as well!
Every now and then, Joe will treat me to the Starbucks right around the corner. Or he'll come home with a warm mocha for me to enjoy (like he did earlier this week - yes, I have such a sweet husband!).
So which do you prefer?
I like these polls you do =D! Do you mind if I "copy" your idea and do it on my blog sometime??
ReplyDeleteI voted mocha, because I like coffee/chocolate drinks too. I also like throat coat tea too =D. Have not had it in awhile though!

I find it funny about the shoe thing. :-) Because isn't your sister the one who does with maybe 2 pairs of shoes? or *maybe* 4? I've read her on Biblical Womanhood for years {until she closed it} and then MoneySavingMom and she seems such a minimalist, and then her little sister makes up for it I guess. ??
ReplyDeleteIt made me smile anyway!
Oh, I can see how someone can go with four pairs of shoes. As I would love to do that. But living on a farm keeps and going through shoes faster then my toddler brothers can out grow their shoes makes it so I always have to have an extra pair for when the current pair falls to pieces. (literally!)
ReplyDeleteI actually have a REALLY hard time finding shoes that fit my long, narrow, flat feet! I have had this problem ever since I was a little girl and had to (no kidding) try on at least 100 pairs of shoes, and we even had to go to a REALLY expensive store sometimes to find a pair that fit! YIKES!!! lol
ReplyDeleteSo when I find a pair that fit, I buy them and put them aside for when my old shoes are no longer wearable or appealing anymore! I have about 8-12 pairs, but only wear about 3 or 4 of them right now! :) it is possible!
Mmmmm.... As far as your new poll goes, I LOVE them all equally! Hot Chocolate I like if it is the right kind (yes I am quite picky). My dad is from England so tea is pretty BIG in our family! :)
Thanks for another great poll!

Love mocha! I even made my own recipe that's pretty low in calories, frugal and SOO easy!! http://christianfrugalmama.blogspot.com/2009/08/recipe-of-week-dark-chocolate-mocha.html
ReplyDeleteI came over here from Money Saving Mom, by the way, and think your blog is very cute. Hope you're feeling better and have a blessed day!
