Look What I Ate for Dinner!

Oh-so-good Butterhorns fresh from the oven and warm chocolate chip cookies!

We babysat our friend's six children overnight last night and when we got home today, Joe was starving. He ended up going out to eat with his parents this afternoon, but I opted to stay home because I had a lot of stuff I needed to get done.

So, come dinner time, Joe wasn't hungry. Go figure. (They ate out at his all-time favorite restaurant!)

Of course, I'm never one to skip a meal, so I decided I needed something substantial...or at least that would make it seem like dinner. Fresh, hot butterhorns, and warm chocolate chip cookies did the trick. :) Who said that dinner had to be meat and potatoes?

Now before you judge me, I should tell you that not pictured on my plate above are the several slices of cucumber (I love those things!) and a small amount of leftover salad I also ate.

In other news...I straightened my hair tonight.

I had trimmed it up the beginning of this week and it ended up being a little shorter than I expected. Almost too short. (My philosophy is that hair is too short when you can't pull it back into a ponytail.) Anyhow, I thought I'd see how it looked straightened.
